Valparai Tour Packages
A peaceful retreat amidst tea estates and rich wildlife.
Overview
Valparai is an uncrowded, tranquil hill station situated over 3,500 feet high in the Anamalai Hills of the Western Ghats. Surrounded by lush tea estates, rainforest fragments, and the protected wildlife habitats of the Anamalai Tiger Reserve, the journey to Valparai is famous for its scenic drive navigating 40 hairpin bends with magnificent vistas.
Along the ascent, travellers pass Aliyar Dam and Monkey Falls at the foothill base, where cool mountain waters cascade over natural rocks. In the upper plateau, the massive Sholayar Dam provides expansive views over calm reservoir backwaters framed by misty peaks, where lion-tailed macaques and wild hornbills can often be spotted among the trees.
